Amy and Shane's
Wedding

Shane and I got married on 3rd  August 2015 in Vilamoura.

Nickie from Blush Photography was recommended to us by Heather who organised our wedding at at Casa Do Largo in the Old Village.

We currently live in New Zealand, which made organising a wedding in Portugal pretty challenging!

We did a visit to Vilamoura in August 2014, and despite our date being over a year away at that point, Nickie made the effort to come out to Casa do Largo to meet us and my parents.

I instantly knew that Nickie was the right photographer for us. She has a very laid-back but really lovely way about her.

On the wedding day, Nickie was exactly how I wanted a photographer to be. I didn't even remember that she was there during the ceremony, and she did the group photos with extreme efficiency (a blessing in the heat) while still managing to get some excellent shots.

It was really important to me and Shane that we weren't away from our guests for too long. Despite not having a huge photoshoot on the day, Nickie still managed to get some beautiful photos of us together that were just very natural. In fact, I have no idea when she took half of them them but they're stunning!

The other thing that was great about Nickie was how she dealt with the fact that we had many children and babies involved in our wedding photos. She was very calm and relaxed about the whole thing and again, we have some really fantastic natural shots with the children.

We then organised a photoshoot the following day at Ferragudo beach, which was recommended to us by Nickie  Again, Nickie was incredibly relaxed but made the most of the beautiful sunset setting, and we have some stunning photos... despite it having been a very windy evening!

I really liked the fact that Nickie did not try to choreograph Shane and I into posed positions. Instead, she just told us to do what came naturally and forget that she was there. As a result, we have some absolutely incredible photos that are completely beyond what I had expected.

Thank you Nickie  we are so grateful for your work and will cherish your wonderful photos forever!
